Florence Symonds, born 20 May 2002 in Hong Kong, is a Canadian rugby talent who has made her mark in both sevens and fifteens. Standing 1.78m and weighing 75kg, she is known for her speed and versatility, excelling at both wing and outside centre.

Key Career Moments
Symonds made her sevens breakthrough with Canada, amassing 17 appearances and 30 points. She represented her country at the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens in South Africa, where Canada finished sixth after falling to Fiji in the fifth-place playoff.
In July 2023, she debuted for the Canadian fifteens team in a test match against New Zealand in Ottawa, a tough contest that ended 52–21 in favour of the visitors.
Her biggest stage came at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she played a key role in Canada’s run to the final. The team staged a dramatic comeback from 0–12 down to defeat Australia 21–12 in the semi-finals, before ultimately claiming a silver medal after a loss to New Zealand.
In 2025, Symonds continued her rise, earning selection for the Pacific Four Series and later for Canada’s Rugby World Cup squad.
