Biography

Aseza Hele was born on November 26, 1994, in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Orphaned at a young age, she and her sister were raised by their grandmother in the township of Kwadwesi. Her first steps in sport came through netball, where she was even selected to represent Eastern Cape. However, work commitments prevented her from pursuing that path.

Her entry into rugby was almost accidental: one day, while jogging around a field where a women’s team was training, the coach invited her to join in. That moment would change her sporting life forever.
