1. Introduction

The 2025 Men’s Six Nations Championship ran from 31 January to 15 March 2025, featuring England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales. The competition marked the 131st edition of the tournament and the 26th in the Six Nations era. Returning to the Stade de France after the 2024 Olympic preparations, France reclaimed the crown in thrilling fashion — securing their 19th outright title and 27th overall, finishing above England and Ireland on bonus points.

The 2025 edition broke multiple records: 1,050,465 spectators attended across 15 matches (over 70,000 per game), and 108 tries were scored — both new tournament highs.

2. Tournament Overview

France were crowned champions after a clinical and creative campaign led by Antoine Dupont and powered by rising superstar Louis Bielle-Biarrey, who finished as top try scorer (8) and Player of the Championship.

England and Ireland both won four games apiece, with Ireland claiming the Triple Crown (14th) but losing to France in Dublin. England showed resurgence under Steve Borthwick, highlighted by powerful performances from Tommy Freeman and Fin Smith.

Scotland produced flashes of brilliance — including wins over Italy and Wales — but lacked consistency. Italy earned a notable home victory over Wales, while Wales, enduring transition and injuries, finished winless for a second straight year, taking the Wooden Spoon.
