France have confirmed their 32-player squad for the upcoming Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 in England, as they look to go one step further than their semi-final finish in New Zealand last time out.
The team will open their Pool D campaign against Italy in Exeter on Saturday, 23 August, before facing tournament newcomers Brazil, also in Exeter, on 31 August. Their final pool fixture comes against South Africa in Northampton on 7 September.
France enter the competition as strong contenders, having come within a single point of the final in 2022, losing 25–24 to eventual champions New Zealand. They rebounded in style to claim third place with a dominant 36–0 win over Canada. Head coach and selectors have balanced established stars with emerging players, creating a squad brimming with pace, physicality, and tactical versatility.
