Key Career Moments
Tessier burst onto the world stage with her selection for the 2017 Rugby World Cup, marking the start of a long international run for Canada.
In 2022, she played a key warm-up test against Wales — a confident 31–3 win — before heading into the delayed 2021 World Cup in New Zealand. She made her mark there, scoring a try against the USA Eagles in the quarterfinal, then featuring in both the semifinal against England and the bronze-medal match versus France.
Her momentum kept rolling. Tessier was central in Canada’s big 66–7 win over South Africa in Madrid during the 2023 Pacific Four Series.
Then came a history-making chapter: in 2024, she helped lead Canada to a historic victory over New Zealand, starting all six matches that year and earning a prestigious nomination for World Rugby Women’s 15s Player of the Year.
By 2025, her status as a veteran playmaker was unquestioned. She earned selection for the Pacific Four Series and, shortly after, punched her ticket to the 2025 Rugby World Cup, where Canada went on to secure a silver medal.
